2018 General Assembly
The 2018 meeting was held Sunday, June 3rd at the Golden Age Club of St. Ignace under the presidency of Adrien Richard. Among other things, there was the adoption of the financial report which indicates that the income since May 1, 2017 was $ 1106.77 in addition to a balance of $ 813.45 which was in the account at April 30, 2017 The expenses were $ 1321.95 which leave a balance of $ 598.25 in the checking account, in addition to a membership share of $ 25. There is also an amount of $ 901.95 in the savings account which leaves a cash balance of $ 1,525.22. The Association currently has 150 paid members.
There was also a resolution that Roger Comeau be the auditor of the association for the year 2018-2019.
The following members have been elected to the Board of Directors for the coming year: President: Adrien Richard; vice-president: Émile Richard; secretary: Jean A. Richard; Treasurer: Josephat Thibault; Councilors: Noëlla Doucette, Aline Richard, Laura Richard and Loretta Richard. Thelma Richard will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as a non-voting member.
The business meeting was followed by a presentation by Ginette Martin, former ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who told us about her journey in embassies and consulates in Canada and abroad and the different positions that she occupied.
