2013 General Assembly
The 20th Annual General Meeting of the ARNB took place on Sunday June 2, 2013 at the Golden Age Club of St. Ignace. The President introduced the members of the Board of Directors and thanked them for their participation in the two assemblies held during the year just ended. ner.
The secretary Jean Richard read the minutes of the general meeting of June 3, 2012 which was adopted.
The Treasurer, Camille Richard presented the financial report for the year 2012-2013 (May 1, 2012 to April 30, 2013) which shows an income of $ 2,799.41 since May 1. The expenses were $ 1,605.10 leaving a balance of $ 1,194.31 more on the one hand membership of $ 25.
The treasurer also mentions that last October an emergency fund was created in which $ 200 was deposited with the intention of depositing more each year. The Association currently has 215 members.
It was proposed and accepted that the contribution remain the same at $ 5 for the 2013-2014 year.
Guy Richard from the Richard Family Association (Quebec) and chair of the organizing committee for the Richard family meeting at the 2014 World Acadian Congress was present at our meeting and gave an overview of the program of the meeting that was held. will take place on August 22nd, 23rd and 24th. 2014 at Notre-Dame-du-Lac in Témiscouata. He announced that a website will be put into operation in the fall that will register online. The closing ceremonies of the CMA will be held at the same place on the 24th and the participants at the Richard meeting will be able to participate.
In his report, President Adrien reports that the Board of Directors held three meetings during the year. He thanked the members of the Board of Directors for their participation and support. He also thanked the volunteers who worked to organize this meeting and prepare the food.
The head of the newsletter, Jean Richard says that two newsletters were issued to members, one in November and the other in May. He invited the assembly to point out to him the names of deceased members or of Richard who had made special mention so that he could mention them in the bulletin.
