André F. Richard, was born December 16, 1906 and died on May 13, 1993. He was a businessman and a Canadian politician.
André F. Richard was born on December 16, 1906 in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, New Brunswick. His father is François G. Richard, a member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick and his mother is Marie-Jeanne Richard. He studied at École Sainte-Anne and at Lasalle Extension University. He married Rosie Caissie on December 2, 1929 and the couple had eight children.
He was a member of Parliament for Kent in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1956 to 1970 as a Liberal. He was also Minister of Public Works from 1960 to 1966 and Minister of Transportation from 1967 to 1970, in the government of Louis Robichaud.
He was a member of the Société Nationale de l’Acadie and Club Richelieu.
